Kinda fun story...
Jun. 23rd, 2005 09:17 amI forgot to write about this with all the other goings on.
Monday, after Erica and I didn't see the house on water (lock out) we decided to go see the new "Winers & Loafers" store downtown. Last time I was there they didn't have all their wine/inventory in. So we went in there and got really yummy sesame bread, Brie cheese & Genoa Salamie. (not that I can spell salamie) First of all, what a great lunch! But we were talking to one of the owners and I mentioned a few of the shops that I'd seen; the one in Manestee "Happy Chappys" and the one in Oxford, which are both really good wine/beer stores with tons of variety & imports. Well, as I'm mentioning this stuff, the lady offers me a job! ;) I guess she was kinda impressed becasue I know a lot about wines and tend to search out good wines & beers. It was cute. She runs the coffee end of the shop and the other lady does the wine. Then of course, I'm like, "Oh yeah, I used to work at Wanna Grind Coffee House." *grin* She wanted to give me an app right then and there. I said I'd "think" about it. How fun! I would love to do something like that... to tell people about wines and make coffee again! How fun. But I'm pretty sure they'd have to do minimum wage or something, and, well, I guess I just know I'm worth more. But still, how fun.
Update 2:15pm: Erica went there this morning to get coffee before signing the acceptance of the bid. The lady was all excited that I was back, hoping I'd ask for an application. *grin* Again with the cuteness!
