The weekend that supposed to be...

nirvelli_lynnSo all of last week I was planning to be gone for the weekend for a trip to visit my Grandmother... Thursday night I called my dad asking when I needed to be at his house on Friday morning as our flight was early. He had no clue what I was talking about, until he realized I had the dates switched up. In June, he'd emailed me to confirm for this weekend but then called later in the week to say he had a conflict. Well, I forgot *entirely* about the phone call and was going solely by the email. (He never sent the itinerary so I didn't get the update.) So I unexpectedly had a weekend home! :) Nice. I didn't have a chance to fill it up with plans and thus had a very simple weekend.
Friday went out for drinks with mom and then hung out with Dadra. We attempted to see the Fab 4 but arrived 12 minutes too late. So we skipped it for a slushie. Saturday Erica came home and we went to Farmers Mkt. We were gonna so see a movie (War of the Worlds) but skipped that to stay home and make a nice lunch. I then hung out with Dadra again and we DID go see the Fab 4. (Not bad. Nice with the Jessica Alba.) I was gonna go home but instead went to mom's to hang out and then roamed the streets a bit the Nikki.
Sunday Erica and slept in (thank gods!) and toss the plans to go blueberry picking since the berries weren't ready. BUT later this week they should be!!! (Anyone wanna go picking?) We instead went to the Art Center and I did some *really* awesome stuff with my bowl. I'm so geeked! I wanna find some good glazes but have to work on finding a store that sells them. I'm SO proud of what we've been doing in class. PLUS, I showed Erica how to throw a pot and we made a small cup together. It's SO cute! :) We later went to see War of the Worlds (good. pretty true to the original movie other than the character shifts.)
It was a very nice and unexpected weekend. :) Yeah!
Today I'm kinda slacking at work, but I DID go the gym for awhile. :) GO me! I'm going to go more frequently I decided. It's time for me to make a change. And so I am and will. *smile*
