A day off work. *grin* So nice!
Saturday was the aquatic seminar. We had 13 participants plus Carrie & Erica and a woman coordinating the seminar from the site. It went fairly well but we did have one bad review. *sigh* That was disappointing. We've never had a bad review (they said they would not recommend the program unless the afternoon was restructured.) I really don't feel like going into the details but we were disappointed. Everyone else loved it and had very good reviews. Still, it's sad how the one negative affects our view of the outcome so...
Then on the way home, the suburban died. We think the transmission went out. So, we were stuck on the middle of the express way, pulled over the side awaiting a tow truck. The cops in Perrysburg, Ohio were very nice. We called the police just to make sure we were far enough off the road. They offered to take us to a restaurant since the tow truck couldn't carry all 4 of us. So Carrie, Erica & I ended up in the back of a cop car, both Carrie & Erica high on sugar from the bag of Skittles . I think the highlight of the drive was when Carrie told the cops that Erica had a pound of marajuana up her ass because she didn't want to share. She then asked what it would cost if she got a ticket in Ohio (we learned that you can get a ticket in Ohio and it won't affect your Michigan drivers liscence - you can even get a DUI without effect.) Her next question was how much that ticket would be if she was pulled over and showed her "titties". The officer said she would get a ticket for lewd conduct if there were kids around, otherwise she'd just get a ticket for speeding and told to pull her shirt down. Yes... that was quite an interesting drive.
We arrived at Max & Erma's for dinner while Carrie's boyfriend Lauren drove down to pick us up. The 'burban stayed in Perrysburg.
Sunday we all stayed home and mostly "vegged". I was exhausted all day recovering. Today it's very nice to have off as I feel I'll truely be able to recover.
