Erica worked from Thursday - Sunday, staying at her parents in Oxford most nights. So other than Friday night/Satruday morning when she came home, I didn't see her much. Friday I had a sistrum thing and then joined Dadra for a movie (Mr. & Mrs. Smith). It was pretty good. I also watched a lot of "Tru Calling" which I've enjoyed. I like the series concept and love the actress. Erica came home Friday night at like 3am. Very late night for her. I was already crashed.

Saturday morning we got up and drove with my mom to Merrill to pick strawberries. We picked 90lbs of strawberries in 2 hours! Yum! (And ate a lot too.) Erica had to leave for work then, but mom & got out a glass of wine and cleaned/froze all the strawberries. It wasn't bad. Saw "Indiana Jones" on TV which was entertaining. Mom & Til went to see Leah's basesball game but I bailed. I was gonna do laundry but the place we like was closed and I didn't have detergent. So I skipped it. Dadra, Mom, Til & I went to see "Batman Returns" which was pretty good. I think even Til liked it. We stopped by the Elks lodge before the movie and got bored so we left. I also got a phone call from Maranda, my friend in AK. She's on her way home, driving right now. (I'll probably call her soon just to see how it's going.) She'll be here for Pride! YEAH!!! (Little does she know Melissa Ferrick is singing at 6:00!!!!)

Sunday I went to Dad's. He redid his deck and boy is it cute. We sat outside eatting strawberries and drinking coffee. Very cute. He's done a LOT of work and it shows. We then went to Greenfield Village which I hadn't been to since I was about 11. They made a lot of major changes 2 years ago. The auto show was going on there we saw more old cars than I've ever seen! We also got to ride in an old Model T convertible. We saw potters, glass blowing and weaving, along with a bunch of history stuff. Dad & I discussed going there for the 4th of July as the DSO (Detroit Sympony Orchestra) plays and fireworks go off. Very neat! So Erica, Til, Dad and hopefully Mom & I will all be going there for the 4th. Til will love all the history! :) It was a good weekend.

BUT we've still not heard about the house... I'm really gonna start getting irriated after noon. Yeah... that's when I start getting pissy. But she's still got 1 hour

Our bid was reject. This is ok though as we were kinda expecting this. I was a bit surprised that they didn't counterbid, but oh well. We know we can get the house even in the worse case scenario (were we overbid to cover our closing costs.) The house is worth it. (I hope.)

Good news is, we have news! And now I'm off to the realtor to make another offer.

So we offered another bid. I guess our first bid offended him. Ah well. This bid definitely wouldn't offend and hopefully make it all ok. The realitor mentioned that she'd had cases in the past where the seller wouldn't even consider (any) bid after they'd been offended. That sucks. I'd be really pissed if that would be the case. After all, in my view it is just business. But others see things differently.

Keep your fingers crossed!
