weekend update

Friday and Satruday were the Sistrum concerts. I managed to get through them both without a migrane which is muchly thanks to Nikki's heavy drugs. I never would have considered them, but when one becomes photosensative and has to endure an hour under heavy lights...well, I chose what I consider extreme measures. Saturday was a much better performance for me, though both nights went well. My dad took video on Sat and Mom and Uli came on Friday. Steve made it to the concert but Dadra really didn't want to come and I said that was fine... though honestly it kinda sucked not my friends at the AfterGlow. Dad came for a bit and I was considering just leaving early in the night. Then Megan and I started to hang out a bit and honestly had it not been for her, I would have just left. But we chatted, and it turns out she's interested in more outdoorsie type stuff than I think I realized... or maybe, we're just finally getting somewhat comfortable to actually consider hanging out to do the outdoorsie stuff. I like Megan now that I'm finally getting to know her... though admittedly it's still odd... but I think (and hope) it will all be fine in the end.
Sunday was the first Open House. It was a really nice and casual evening. We had several people stop by but it was never a packed house, which was actually kinda nice seeing as it just made for a very nice and relaxing time rather than uber-social time.
So far Jamaica is still on... and my personal statement is looking better and better so grad apps are nearly ready to go. I will have three completed and all my info sent in before I leave, and possibly a 4th. Then I'll have 3 (or 4) to submit when I get home. So... it's doable.
